Participants will leave this 6-week course with these tools to help their careers:

  • Mission & Vision Clarity
  • Framework for a Business Plan
  • Resources for Creating a Budget
  • Financial Planning Resources
  • Action Plan

According to a market analysis and national survey (commissioned by Fractured Atlas in February 2008), a significant majority of artists feel “lost” in their efforts to successfully launch and manage an arts career or business. Shifts in the economy and rapid advancements in technology have created a new industry environment, where old models of professional development are ineffective. In order for 21st Century artists and arts managers to thrive, they need to acquire critical skills in entrepreneurship and small business management.

In response to this growing need for professional development in the arts, Kamal Sinclair (veteran artist and strategy consultant), developed effective content for the Ignite seminar series. This empowering and interactive experience provides each participant with a complete framework for planning, launching, managing, and sustaining their arts careers, projects or companies.
