TechsmARTs
TechsmARTs is a bi-monthly meet-up for artists & arts administrators on using technology as a tool for organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Scroll down to see an archive of past TechsmARTs events.
The multi-pronged mission of TechsmARTs:
- To discuss and learn about national technology trends and issues.
- To find out what is happening in other cities and how we can adapt and improve upon those solutions.
- To provide a forum to discuss ways of managing and developing technology for artists & arts organizations.
- To empower the arts field with the knowledge and understanding of technology to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Target audiences for TechsmARTs: Managing Directors, Funders, Box Office Managers, Marketing Directors, Development Directors, and anyone else in your organization who either manages technology or uses it to accomplish day-to-day tasks.
Next Meeting…
April 18, 2012
Please join us for the next TechsmARTs gathering, where we will welcome Mark Elliot from The Weather Channel. Over the past decade, TWC made a transition from a TV channel “broadcaster” to an integrated social company. Mark will offer a history of TWC’s transition, including some clips and demonstrations. We’ll also discuss what lessons arts organizations can glean from this case study. Many thanks to The Weather Channel for lending Mark’s talents to us for the afternoon!
Time: 12:00 PM
