C4 Atlanta presents College Coffee Night in partnership with MOCA GA

C4 Atlanta and The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA), a museum featuring works by Georgia contemporary artists, are proud to present College Coffee Night. The event is exclusively for college/university students to meet established, professional artists. Ten local artists, representing multiple disciplines will be in attendance to network, give advice, answer questions, and share stories about what it means to be a working artist in Georgia.

“MOCA GA is thrilled to be partnering with C4 Atlanta for the inaugural College Coffee Night,” Said Annette Cone-Skelton, Founding Director, MOCA GA. “We hope these events will give college students the opportunity to network with artists working in Georgia and allow them to see our state as a vibrant place where they can pursue artistic careers.”

Some of the artists confirmed to be in attendance include: Masud Olufani, Maria Artemis, Babacar Ndiaye, and Gregor Turk. More artists will be announced over the next few weeks.

“Both MOCA GA and C4 Atlanta want young artists to view Georgia as a viable option for pursuing an art career,” said Chelsea Steverson, C4 Atlanta’s Operations Manager. “We are very thankful for the artists participating in this event. Mentorship is an important part of an artist’s career development.”

College Coffee Night is free and open to any Georgia college/university student. Students are asked to bring their school IDs to present at the door.

The event will be held at MOCA GA on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Coffee will be provided by a local, Atlanta coffee shop. The evening will also include dessert bites.
