C4 Atlanta presents FUN-ancial Summer Camp, part of our C4 Summer Camp Series. This two-day workshop series will cover a broad spectrum of education for arts workers related handling money. Day 1 will focus on financial literacy, resources and taxes. Day 2 will cover fundraising and grant writing for artists and small arts businesses. Participants may purchase Day 1 and Day 2 separately or purchase both days at a discount. All participants will receive a coupon for 20% off a future purchase at Binders. **Please note: This class will be held at Binders Ponce City Market, NOT Fuse Arts Center.

Participants will gain an understanding of:

Day 1 – Financial Literacy and Tax

  • How to build a robust budget for art projects and businesses
  • A familiarity with financial vocabulary and best practices for handling arts business finance
  • Best practices for working with a CPA
  • Corporate structures and the tax implication of each

Day 2 – Fundraising and Grant writing

  • An overview of common funding strategies used to fund artistic practice
  • How to write and craft an “elevator pitch” to use as a communication tool that may help with fundraising
  • An understanding of the entire granting process and how that affects writing a grant
How is this workshop different from similar workshops?
This workshop will cover the practical financial aspects of running a business, focusing on the specific needs of creative workers.  
Payment and Refund Policy

Full payment is required to reserve a spot and guarantee enrollment in all classes and workshops offered by C4 Atlanta. Credit Card payments may be made online through the registration form or through our online payment form at https://c4atlanta.org/pay.

Checks should be made out to C4 Atlanta, PO Box 170319, Atlanta, GA 30317. Payment must be received before the first class session.

You may cancel your enrollment, without penalty, by notifying C4 Atlanta, in writing (via written letter or email), at least 10 days prior to the first class session.

If we receive your notification at least 10 days prior to the first class session, we will refund 100% of the tuition, minus a $10 administrative fee; or we will offer 100% of the tuition as credit toward a future C4 Atlanta class to be used within the following three months.

If you cancel your enrollment less than 10 days prior to the first class session, you will receive a 50% refund of the cost of tuition; or we will offer 50% of the tuition as credit toward a future C4 Atlanta class to be used within the following three months.

If you cancel within 48 hours of the first class session, C4 Atlanta will not offer any refunds.

C4 Atlanta reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. We will notify you in case of a cancellation and we will refund 100% of your class fee.

Membership fees are not refundable under any circumstances. The refund policy described in the above paragraphs is non-inclusive of membership fees.
